Sanaa - MENA
On Friday, June 3, following intense fighting in Taiz, Yemen, hospitals that Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) supports in the city received 122 wounded patients, the vast majority of them civilians. Twelve other people sent to the hospital were declared dead on arrival.
Today, as the fighting continues, three injured children from the same family were brought to hospital after two rockets destroyed their house, killing their mother. Their father is still missing, MSF said in a press release.
Incidents like these show the devastating impact of the war on civilians. Taiz is one frontline of a brutal ongoing war in Yemen. They city is hit by shelling and gunfire on a daily basis. The population lives in fear, the prospect of dying—or seeing a love one killed—ever present

Paris - Emiratesvoice
Two months after legendary designer Azzedine Alaia's sudden death plunged the fashion world into mourning, an exhibition in homage to the "King of Cling" opens Monday in his studios in Paris. The Tunisian-born designer, renowned for the way his clothes hugged the body, died suddenly in November aged 82, reportedly of heart failure after falling down the stairs at his home.
