Fierce clashes break out in Taiz, Hajjah
Sanaa - Arab Today

Fierce clashes erupted on Saturday between the Yemeni army and militias of Houthis and former president Ali Abdullah Sale in Taiz city and Hajjah governorate.

At least 15 militants were killed and dozens others injured in the skirmishes with the army, the military information center said.

Seven members from the public resistance were wounded, along with 11 civilians in the random shelling by the militias to the populated residential areas.

In the meantime, the army and the public resistance, supported by the Arab-led coalition fighter jets, are conducting wide-scale military operations in Hajjah governorate, the information center said.

The forces controlled huge swaths in the governorate, it added.
