A Saudi soldier was killed when a security patrol in the southwestern region of Jazan was subjected to hostile fire across the borders from Houthi elements, a security spokesman of the Saudi Interior Ministry said according to state news agency SPA.
The Saudi forces exchanged fire with the assailants until the security forces completely controlled the situation but the exchange led to the death of First Soldier Khaled Ali Mohammed Asiri, the spokesman said.
