A senior Yemeni military officer was assassinated by unknown gunmen downtown Sanaa on Saturday.
Brig. Staff Abdullah Hussein Al-Mehdhar, member of the teaching staff of the Higher Military Academy and member of the military restructuring panel, was shot dead in front of his home, the Ministry of Defense affirmed.
The ministry strongly condemned, in a statement, the terrorist attack saying such attacks will not weaken the resolve of the Armed Forces to track down and eliminate the criminal elements countrywide.
