
One person died and four others sustained several injuries in road crashes countrywide, the Civil Defence Department reported in its daily update.
It said a 55-year-old man died after being run over in Al-Muqableen area south of Amman. An ambulance arrived at the scene and evacuated the body to Al Bashir Hospital.
Three more people suffered bruises and wounds when they were struck by a vehicle on the Amman-Zarqa highway. CCD crews transferred the injured to Al Bashir government Hospital, where they were listed in moderate condition, added the CDD.
In the southern Karak governorate, a man who was driving a lorry sustained internal bleeding and bruises to various parts of his body when his vehicle overturned. He was in serious condition when medics ferried him to the Karak Public Hospital.
