One person was shot dead in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria Thursday during clashes between supporters and opponents of Egypt's ousted Islamist president Mohamed Morsi, security sources said. The sources said police fired tear gas to separate the two sides.Separately, a small bomb targeted a police station in the city, but there were no casualties, security officials said.At least 49 people were killed in weekend violence that broke out during rival rallies held by pro- and anti-Morsi camps to mark the anniversary of Egypt's 2011 uprising.Since the military ousted Morsi last July, security forces have waged a bloody crackdown in which more than 1,000 people have been killed and thousands of Islamists arrested.
