More than 1,000 Libyans traveled to Egypt in July through Mesaed border crossing, head of the Libyan committee of registering travelers in Tobruk said Thursday.
Abdul-Raman el Hayyen added in press statements that the Libyan travelers were registered in Tobruk municipality according to an agreement with the Egyptian side.
He said 44 Libyans have been registered and prepare to travel to Egypt, noting that the registration requirement was restricted for males from 13-59 years old.
"Women could travel to Egypt without registering their names," he added.
He said the registration process is suspended now until the 44 Libyans could travel to Egypt, adding the process will be resumed later, and the priority will be for patients after checking their medical reports.
