Eleven members of the Libya's Constitutional Drafting Assembly (CDA) announced Thursday they would boycott the next meetings and would never accept any drafts passed by the assembly.
In a press conference, they said that the CDA has failed to meet the goals of its mission, warning against splitting the state into three regions depending on a quota system.
The assembly's mission is affected by the short-sighted alliances that were created to serve narrow interests, the boycotters told the press.
They added that the majority of the CDA's members are claiming defending the three regions' rights but their actions promote split and division.
