
Luxor Ambulance Authority dispatched 12 ambulances to the scene of the tragic incident which took place earlier in the day in Edfu, northern Aswan, said Authority chief Abul-Naga el-Hagagi.
Nine of the injured were transferred to Luxor hospitals, he said, adding that a number of injured were rushed to Aswan hospitals.
Three micro-buses collided, leaving 26 people dead and several others injured.
Investigations have shown that the accident took place due to speeding and the attempt of one of micro-buses to over pass the other which ended in the three micro-buses colliding.
