
North Sinai security forces have carried out wide-scale security campaigns in a number of cities to arrest outlaws, suspects and destroy terror hotbeds.
Security sources said the campaigns targeted South Arish, Sheikh Zuweid and Rafah, where terrorist hideouts have been raided.
As many as 12 takfiris were killed and 14 suspects were arrested and investigations were launched to specify the charges they face.
As many as nine shacks were destroyed, a jeep vehicle and seven unlicensed motorbikes were seized during the campaigns.
Also five vehicles of several types were seized to check their ownership and whether they were used in any attacks against the police and army troops.
