
The Interior Ministry resumed efforts to chase and arrest terrorist elements to achieve security as well as stability in the country.
The campaigns, launched upon directives of Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Gaffar, resulted in seizing 13 arms caches in Cairo, Giza, Qalubiya, Dakahliya, Kafr el Sheikh, Fayyoum, Qena, Ismalia, and North Sinai.
Meanwhile, the ministry's efforts resulted in nabbing 26 of the middle-ranking leaders of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group.
Up to 14 members of the sub-committees were also arrested. These committees target army and police as well as attacking vital facilities.
The security agencies arrested four wanted extremists.
