At least 13 civilians were killed in a suicide bombing on Monday morning at a security checkpoint in western Baghdad's neighbourhood of Kadhamiya, Reuters quoted police and medical sources as saying.
The capital has seen a string of deadly attacks in the last two weeks.
The government recenly lifted a longstanding night-time curfew on Saturday night aimed at normalising life in city.
