An African Airways Plane, carrying 140 Sudanese nationals and families who were stranded at the Libyan Maitiqa airport, early Saturday landed at Khartoum Airport.
The returnees were received at Khartoum Airport by the Secretary General of the Sudanese Expatriates Organ, Haj Majid Suwar.
In a statement to SUNA, Suwar said that the 140 Sudanese nationals arrived at Khartoum through an ordinary flight of the African Airways Company, indicating that they are in good conditions.
He said that other numbers of Sudanese nationals would return via ordinary flights of the African Airways from Libya according to an agreement in this regard.
Meanwhile, a number of the returnees, who were interviewed by SUNA at the airport, have expressed their thanks and gratitude to the Sudanese Expatriates Organ, Sudan Embassy to Libya and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs over the efforts that they have exerted for their return home from Libya.
