Fifteen Egyptian fishermen who had been detained by Tunisian authorities were released on Friday.
The fishermen were detained at the Tunisian port of Sfax, said Egyptian ambassador to Tunisia Ayman Musharafa.
They were detained after illegally entering the Tunisian territorial waters.
The Foreign Ministry has warned fishermen against entering into territorial waters of other countries without permits.
Such acts run counter to the laws of these nations, the ministry said last month.
The warning came in the light of repeated attempts of Egyptian fishermen to fish outside Egyptian territorial waters. Many had been arrested.
