Five members of the Libyan special forces, known as shock troops, have been killed and 10 others wounded in clashes with the Shura Council of Benghazi Revolutionaries since the start of July.
The wounded have been carried to al Jalaa Hospital, said Col. Mayloud al Zawi, the official spokesman for the Libyan special force, Tuesday.
The injuries are slight to moderate, he noted.
Troops are advancing in Bou Ateni area with the help of the commandos, Zawi said.
They are slowly advancing in the areas of Bou Hadima and al Sabri due to the presence of snipers on rooftops, he added.
