
Two explosions were heard on Thursday at Bab Al-Sharqi neighborhood of central Baghdad, security sources and eyewitnesses said.
A number of people were killed and injured when a booby-trapped car exploded at a market in the neighborhood,
Meanwhile, another blast has occurred when a suicide bomber blew himself up at the district leaving a number of people dead and injured.
Security forces rushed to the area and cordoned it off while ambulances moved injured people to hospital for medical treatment.
Iraqi forces are fighting a fierce battle against Daesh terrorist elements who are controlling huge swaths of Iraq.
