
Board Chairman of Zamalek Club Counselor Mortada Mansour on Sunday survived an assassination attempt as unidentified persons opened fire at him ealier in the day.
Ahmed Mansour, son of the club's chief and a member of the club's board, posted the news of his father's assassination attempt on his facebook account.
He also said two workers of the club injured in the shooting.
A security source at Giza Security Directorate said an investigation team has been formed to identify the suspects who opened fire at Zamalek Club chief Counselor Mortada Mansour.
In statements to MENA on Sunday, the source said the video shots taken by the monitors fixed on the club's doors and shops will be viewed in order to identify the criminals.
Unidentified persons riding a car opened fire at Mansour while he was coming out of the club's premises in Meit Oqba, leaving three of his guards injured and his car slightly damaged.
