Two Military Academy students were killed and six others injured here on Wednesday in a bomb explosion at Kafr el Sheikh Stadium fence, Governor Ossama Hamdi said.
The terrorist act targeted a group of Military Academy students inside the Kafr el Sheikh Club Stadium where they were getting ready to head for the academy after the end of their holidays, the governor said in statements to the Egyptian TV.
It is yet unclear whether the bomb was planted or hurled by a terrorist from outside the fence, he said.
Three of the injured are being treated at the General Hospital, while three others are getting treatment at the Military Hospital, he said, pointing out that one of the students is in critical condition.
Police and army troops along with civil defense bodies are currently at the scene, he added.
