
Security forces in Matrouh, Fayyoum and Dakahlia arrested a number of outlaws, fugitives and drug dealers.
In Matrouh, security bodies arrested 236 persons, including two Sudanese, trying to illegally migrate to Libya. They were detained in a military zone.
In Fayyoum, two terror cells affiliated to the Muslim Brotherhood group were arrested.
The first cell comprising nine members had targeted power transformers and towers in the governorate, while the second cell was specialized in carjacking tank trucks on the Fayyoum-Cairo highway, security sources said.
A four-strong gang was arrested for stealing cars in the highway of Minya, Upper Egypt.
