Three on-duty policemen were injured on Saturday while securing roads in the Mukharqa area in the capital Manama, the General Director of Capital Governorate Police said.
“The policemen were extinguishing tyres set ablaze on Isa Al Kabeer Road when they were attacked by a terrorist group who hurled Molotov cocktails at them,” he said. “The three policemen were referred to the hospital for treatment, and one of them is in serious condition.”
The General Director said that an investigation had been launched to identify and arrest those involved and that the Public Prosecution had been notified.
