Police detachments in Wasit province arrested / 3 / elements of al-Qaida in one of the areas north of the province.Wasit police chief Brigade, Raed Shaker Jawdat told the reporter of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that: "the arrest was made on accurate intelligence pointed to the existence of militants, who were arrested after they were surrendered by a special police force." He added: " arrest warrants had been issued against the three militants previously in accordance with Article 4 on the fight against terrorism."
