As many 1,119 Iraqis were killed and 1,946 wounded in acts of violence in Iraq during September, according to the UN mission in Iraq.
The toll does not cover casualties resulting from the current Iraqi military operation in Al Anbar because there was no way to verify the authenticity of figures mentioned in this regard, the mission said.
