
At least 45 Iraqis were killed and 88 others injured in three suicide bomb attacks in different areas in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, on Saturday, a police source said.
A suicide attacker detonated the booby-trapped he was driving at a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Shu'la area, which was followed by another suidical attack against police forces and paramedics. The attacks killed 32 Iraqis and injured 40 others as well as damaging civilian cars, said the source.
Another suicide attack took place in Al-Khadhmiya area killing 13 people and wounding 48 others, including 10 policemen, the source said.
The wounded were rushed to Al-Khadhmiya hospital.
Three civilians were killed in a suicide attack north of Baghdad earlier today.
