
As many as 46 Daesh members were killed by the Iraqi forces in Salaheldin and Nineveh provinces on Tuesday, a Kurdish military source said.
The international alliance jets took part in some air strikes on the militant group, the source said.
Daesh started the attack on Sengar city in Nineveh by detonating three booby-trapped cars and the dispatch of a number of suicide bombers.
Peshmerga forces killed the suicide bombers and bombed the cars before reaching their targets, the source said.
In Salaheldin, 36 Daesh militants were killed and three vehicles were destroyed.
