
At least six people were killed and 25 others injured in a traffic accident on the Khartoum-Port Sudan Highway, Khartoum's Al-Sudani daily reported Monday. "Six people were killed and 25 others suffered various injuries in a traffic accident on Khartoum-Port Sudan highway on Sunday evening," the report said, noting that the accident took place when the tire of a passenger bus exploded and the driver lost control. The traffic police patrols rushed to the accident site, transferred the injured people to the hospital and the bodies to the morgue, added the report. Traffic accidents have recently reoccurred in Sudan, the last of them took place in October in Al-Bagair area in central Sudan which left 25 people dead.
