Seven Takfiris were arrested Wednesday in the Tunisian city of Zaghouan.
A statement by the Interior Ministry said the seven detainees include a man who was wanted over clashes that erupted between armed men and the police in the coastal town of Soliman about thirty miles from Tunis.
Another five detainees were accused over taking part in helping Tunisians join armed groups in Arab states, the ministry said in the statement.
They were arrested before holding meetings to attract new members and help others travel to Libya and Syria, the statement said.
The seven were referred to the prosecution for investigations.
