
Border guards received 741 Syrians seeking refuge inJordan over the past 24 hours as the frontier remains open for civilians fleeing thethree-year civil war in Syria.Border guards of the armed forces have recently reported a rise in the number ofrefugees, most of them elderly, women and children, who cross all through the dayand at night to flee the bloody violence.The military personnel offer the refugees humanitarian assistance and then transferthem to the Zaatari refugee camp.Jordan is currently home to about 600,000 displaced Syrians who had sought a safehaven in the Kingdom since the conflict in their country began.
