As thousands of children across Saudi Arabia return to school this week, a new study by Kleenex has revealed just how much this milestone can affect parents emotionally too.
A staggering 88 percent of Saudi parents admit to worrying about losing control of their children come the new school year, with 3 in 10 concerned their children won’t make friends, and double that amount (61 percent) anxious about the possibility that their child will be bullied.
While many parents worry how much their children will miss them being separated during the school day (23 percent), almost a quarter admitted to feeling out of control of their child’s wellbeing (24%) – and over half confessed to feeling out of control at the thought of how messy their child could get (52 percent).
“Whether your children are starting school for the first time or returning for another year, these findings reveal just how difficult the time also is for parents. Losing control of their children to school can be very stressful and, while there might be a few tears from both parties during the adjustment phase, moms and dads can do their best to help the situation by offering Kleenex, the best quality tissue, to their children as proof they care.”
Kleenex has been available in the GCC market since 1955 and is one of the most trusted brands in the region. It is suitable for everyday use and is the leading brand in softness — perfect for moments that require some extra loving care. Now available in a a handy, portable pack, Kleenex soft pack can be conveniently placed in a school bag — allowing parents to show their children how much they care, throughout the entire school day.
