The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented 94 cases of “crucifixion, detaining inside metal cage and whipping” carried out by Daesh in Ramadan in various areas in Syria, said a statement by the SOHR on Thursday.
The cases included five children and two old men in public streets and squares in the provinces of Aleppo, Al Raqqa and Deir Al Zour.
Syria witnessed in the spring of 2011 mass protests that soon turned into military confrontations against the regime of President Bashar Al-Assad.
Terrorist Daesh group exploited the security vacuum in areas of conflict and controlled several areas in Syria.
