Visiting Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukry discussed here on Wednesday the latest Palestinian developments following a UNSC failure to adopt an Arab draft resolution calling for an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories.
During the meeting, they also considered the outcomes of a recent Arab ministerial meeting held in Cairo to assess the Palestinian situation, an Egyptian spokesman said in a statement.
The Egyptian foreign minister reiterated his country's relentless support for the Palestinian issue and rights of the Palestinian people, mainly a Palestinian state on the June 1967 border with Jerusalem as its capital, the spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Bader Abdelati said.
