
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas met with Egyptian Director of the General Intelligence Directorate (GIS) Khaled Fawzy at the former residence in the Egyptian capital Tuesday.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed latest situations in Palestine, particularly efforts exerted in UN Security Council (UNSC) in determining a timeframe to end the Israeli occupation, and joining several international treaties and charters, Palestinian Ambassador to Egypt Jamal Al-Shobaki told reporters.
They also discussed efforts exerted by the Palestinian government of national consensus to reconstruct the Gaza Strip, in addition to other efforts devoted toward the Palestinian national unity.
Meanwhile, Abbas commended Egypt's role in serving and supporting the Palestinian cause at all international arenas.
The meeting was attended by member of PLO's Executive Committee Saeb Erekat and Palestinian intelligence chief Majed Faraj
