Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas renewed his call to hold an international conference for peace in the Middle East region.
The conference aims at solving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
These remarks came during a meeting held between Abbas and a Swedish parliamentarian delegation.
Abbas posted the delegation on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, hailing the stance of Sweden that supports the Palestinian people and recognizes the Palestinian independent state with the borders of 1967.
He urged other countries to take Sweden as a role model and recognize the Palestinian state.
For its part, the delegation underlined its country's backing of Palestine at the political and economic levels.
