Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called for coordination with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to put pressure on Israel to allow the return of Palestinian refugees.
The president asked his country's representative at the United Nations to continue efforts with Ban Ki-moon to end the suffering of the Palestinian refugees the oldest of whom have been waiting for more than 50 years to return home.
The presidency intensified contacts with the UN, EU and parties in concern to put more pressure on the Israeli government to accept the return of more than 5 million Palestinian refugees.
