The 10 abducted Tunisian diplomats in the Libyan capital of Tripoli will be released later on Saturday, Tunisia's undersecretary for Arab and African affairs said.
El Tohami El Adly said the negotiations with the kidnappers of the diplomats of the Tunisian consulate in Tripoli were making progress, adding they would be released in the evening unless an adverse incident occurred.
El Adly said he was following the pace and progress of the negotiations in person, adding he conveyed to the kidnappers his government's condition represented in releasing the diplomats first, then negotiating on any other demands, topped by setting a member of Fajr Libya's militia free.
He asserted that the Tunisian abductees were in Tripoli and received a good treatment.
A group of gunmen stormed the Tunisian consulate on Friday and kidnapped the ten of its diplomatic mission in Tripoli.
