
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, has met with Hadi al-Bahra, President of the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces, on the sidelines of the 69th Session of the UN General Assembly.
During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed was briefed on the developments of the situation in Syria and discussed the political and humanitarian developments in the country.
Sheikh Abdullah stressed the U.A.E.'s support for the legitimate demands of the Syrian people and the unity of the brotherly nation, as a society and entity. Sheikh Abdullah also said that continuous efforts will be made to help ease the human tragedy and the suffering of the Syrian people affected by the situation.
The two sides also discussed the developments and support for the international coalition in the fight against terrorism in the region.
The meeting was attended by Major General Fares Al Mazrouei, Assistant Foreign Minister for Security and Military Affairs and Yousef Mana'a Saeed Al Otaiba, U.A.E. Ambassador to the United States.
