Abu Dhabi Police will open a counter at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) to issue certificates of good conduct to citizens without criminal records, needed for buying and licensing guns, as well as other hunting weapons.
Organised by Emirates Falconers Club at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, the event will run from 9th to 12th September.
Expert and Captain Ismail Abdullah Al Karbi, head of the fingerprinting section at the department of criminal evidence, Abu Dhabi Police, said, "The issuance of certificate of "good conduct" is part of the procedures required to get a licence to buy guns."
The counter has been networked with the Criminal Records System at the Ministry of Interior and the fingerprinting section at the Emirates Identity Authority.
