Abu dhabi - Arab Today

ADNOC Distribution has expanded its presence in Sharjah with the opening of five rebranded service stations as part of the Asset Transfer Agreement signed with ENOC in 2015.

The total number of ADNOC service stations in the Emirate of Sharjah is 85. The five new service stations include Wasit-2, Al Rawdha, Al Deyar, Al Salamah and Al Buhaira.

The Wasit-2 service station is located on the intersection of Wasit Street and Sheikh Khaled bin Khaled Al Qassimi Street at Al-Ramtha area, while the Al Rawdha service station is located on the Industrial Road 3 opposite the Darari service station. The Deyar service station has commenced operations on Al Orouba Street and opposite to Al Khalidyia service station in Al Khan area. Al Salamah service station operates in Al Ittihad Road before Al Khan Bridge, while Al Buhaira service station is located in Al Majaz area near Al Khaleej newspaper’s building.

The five service stations have been fully equipped to operate 24/7 and retail fuel to motorists, both Special 95 and Super 98, and ecofriendly diesel. Customers also have the advantage of attending to their shopping needs at the ADNOC Oasis stores.

Al Rawdha, Al Deyar, and Wasit-2 stations offer their services through three islands and five pumps each, with the Wasit-2 station offering a car maintenance workshop in addition to automatic and manual car wash services that will be available to customers in the near future.

For its part, the Al Salamah station will provide fueling services to customers through three islands and six pumps, in addition to car wash and oil change services in the future. Offering fuel through three islands and five pumps, the Al Buhaira station will also add car wash and oil change services in the near future.

Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of ADNOC Distribution, said, "We at ADNOC Distribution are keen to broaden our presence across the UAE as part of our commitment to providing seamless services to the largest possible customer base. This can be done either through building new service stations or re-operating current ones according to our agreement with ENOC."

"Opening five rebranded stations is part of our recent announcement to provide additional service stations by the end of 2016. Our future expansion plans include making further stations and services available to our customers during 2017 and beyond."

Development work on the five service stations included rebranding, infrastructure upgrades as per the company’s criteria, and enhancing health, safety and environment (HSE) standards.

By end of 2016, ADNOC Distribution will open six refurbished service stations in Sharjah, in addition to the newly constructed Al Maydan service station. This will take the total number of ADNOC Distribution service station to 92 by the end of this year.
