
African minister and officials delegations arrived in Cairo Monday to take part in the 25th session of the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC).
The General Assembly meeting of AFCAC is scheduled to be held on December 8 to 10, under the auspices of Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The commission, which comprises 54 African States, is the specialized agency of the African Union responsible for Civil Aviation matters in Africa.
AFCAC facilitates cooperation and coordination among African states towards the development of integrated and sustainable air transport system; and fosters the implementation of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) standards and recommended practices and development of harmonized rules and regulations, consistent with the best international practices in civil aviation.
