
Egyptian Charge d'Affaires in Khartoum Basel Taman said that an Egyptian relief plane, which arrived here on Tuesday, is a gift from the Egyptian people and President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to show solidarity with the Sudanese people.
In statements to MENA, Taman said the plane is meant to help the Sudanese people afflicted with floods and heavy rainfall.
Egypt is looking forward to enhance bilateral relations with Sudan and promote cooperation in various fields to serve the interests of both countries.
The military plane carries 12 tons of food, relief materials and tents on board, the Egyptian diplomat said.
