
Deputy National Assembly Speaker Mubarak Al-Khurainej held talks here Friday with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri over bilateral relations and efforts to secure a safe release of abducted Kuwaiti citizen.
In statements to KUNA following the talks, Al-Khurainej said the meeting focused on the issue of Kuwaiti citizen who was abducted in Lebanon last month. He unveiled that he has conveyed a message from the Kuwaiti leadership to Lebanese top lawmaker about the abducted Kuwait national and their desire to see a near end to his ordeal.
Al-Khurainej thanked Berri and Lebanese authorities for their relentless efforts to release the abducted Kuwaiti national. He also expressed confidence in the ability of Lebanese security agencies to put an end to this tragedy and to reunite the Kuwaiti citizen with his family.
