
Deputy Prime Minister Saleh al-Mutlaq and President of Kurdistan, Massoud Barzani agreed on Friday to unify their efforts to counter the threat of terrorism and to confront it.
The Information Office of the Deputy Prime Minister said that al-Mutlaq, who is visiting the Kurdistan region, met President of the Region Massoud Barzani, and discussed with him the political affairs and means to improve the situation of the displaced people.
It added that the two sides discussed during the meeting, which took place in the province of Dohuk, the overall political and security situation in Iraq and the region, and agreed to coordinate cooperation and unify their efforts to counter the threat of terrorism and confront it with all forces.
The two officials focused on the file of the displaced people and the need to fruitful cooperation to solve their problems and work hard to bring them back to their homes after the liberation of their areas and the expulsion of criminal gangs out of them.
The Deputy Prime Minister asked to "work to ease the entry procedures to the Region and access to accommodation and cooperation in the field of creating the necessary supplies for the displaced as the winter season is approaching and the start of the new school year.
Al- Mutlaq and Barzani agreed in their views on the real reforms in the policy file that may be reflected positively on the security situation and the economic and social development.
