Al-Nusra Front has reportedly killed Lebanese soldier Ali Bazal in retaliation of the Lebanese army's arrest of females, the official news agency reported.
Killing "one of the prisoners of war is the least retaliation against the Lebanese army," the agency quoted a statement posted by Al-Qaeda-affiliate on its Twitter account.
It warned against killing another Lebanese soldier in a short time "if the female prisoners were not released by the army." The army has recently arrested two women, one was an ex-wife of Abu Baker Al-Baghdadi, self-declared Caliph of the Islamic State in Iraq and Levant (ISIL), and the other was the wife of Abu Ali Al-Shishani, one of Al-Nusra commanders.
Bazal is the third Lebanese soldier to be killed by Al-Nusra who stormed Arsal early in August.
