
Alexandria Security Chief Major General Amin Ezz el-Din vowed that security forces would strike with an iron fist those who incite violence and commit riot acts.
During his tour of a security camp in el-Dekhila and two police stations in Alexandria on Thursday, Ezz el-Din urged all security forces, who are assigned to secure citizens and establishments on Friday, to swiftly respond to citizens' reports and break up violent acts.
He also issued directives to increase security presence in police establishments and deal strictly with rioters and outlaws.
The ultra-Conservative Salafist Front has called for "a Muslim youth uprising" on Friday, 28 November across Egypt in order to impose Islamic identity without disguise and to impose Islamic sharia.
