Algeria welcomed a ceasefire agreement between the Syrian government and armed opposition
Spokesperson for the foreign ministry Abdel Aziz bin Ali Sharif, in remarks on Friday, welcomed the ceasefire, calling all Syrian parties to stick to the agreement in order to start negotiations to reach a political solution to the conflict.
Algeria always upheld the peaceful political settlement, he said, calling for dialogue and national conciliation between factions there to find a way out that secures Syrian sovereignty, independence, safety and national integrity.
