
Lieutenant General, Ahmed Gaid Salah, Deputy Minister for National Defence, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP) on Monday inspected military bases and units of the Air, Naval and Air Defense of the Territory forces at the 2nd Military Region, said a communiqué of the National Defence Ministry (MDN).
"During the second day of his working and inspection visit to the 2nd Military Region, Lieutenant General, Ahmed Gaid Salah, Deputy Minister for National Defence, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP) has inspected on 27 October 2014, bases and units of the Air, Naval and Air Defense of the Territory forces, before holding a meeting with the executives and the staff of 2nd Military Region, aired via visio-conference," the same source added.
"During the meeting, Lieutenant General gave guidance to the managers and staff in the 2nd Region, urging them to make more efforts in order to be worthy of the sacrifices made by our elders and to be faithful to the oath of our valiant martyrs. He also listened to the interventions of audience, who expressed their pride in belonging to the ranks of the Army and their continuing ability to defend the country and preserve its security and stability," the statement said.
