
Algerian President Abdulaziz Bouteflika on Thursday discussed bilateral relation and means to enhance cooperation with visiting UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Nuhayyan. During the reception, Bouteflika expressed content over the advanced level of relations with the UAE, the Algerian TV reported. On his part, Sheikh Abdullah congratulated Bouteflika on his re-election, reaffirming at the same time his country's keenness to sustain relations with Algeria in a manner that would benefit both countries' interests. Following the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah and his Algerian counterpart Ramtane Lamamra co-chaired the 12th Algerian-UAE joint committee. The two sides signed a number of MoUs on cooperation in the areas of pharmaceuticals, higher education, sports and media.
