Major General Al-Turki explained that the Ministry of Interior is working to monitor the electronic identifiers and networks which are inciting for terrorism, stressing that the responsibility of everyone is to keep their sons away from these websites, which may affect our young people since these websites are being administered by the terrorist organizations which enable them recruiting elements, not only from the Islamic world but also from other non-Islamic countries.
He further said that "The Ministry of Interior is implementing the regulations and there are a lot of these regulations governing the social media websites, as there are a lot of them trying to harm the State by affecting the society, and thank Allah Almighty that the society is aware of these matters; even if they are followed by some, that does not mean that the majority of society does not care about what has been published by those social media websites, stressing that awareness of the public, citizens and residents alike will contribute effectively to addressing such acts, calling on everyone not to hesitate to contact the security agencies with all available information they have, even if they are just suspicious, noting that the Kingdom is criminalizing terrorist acts, and those joining or supporting them."
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Interior made clear that the cell that was arrested in Tamir is still under investigation and the investigations will show more details as well as other unknown activities.
