Arab army chiefs of staff wrapped up their second meeting Sunday under Egyptian Army Chief of Staff Lt. General Mahmoud Hegazi at the Arab League premises in Cairo.
The meeting tackled ways of forming a joint Arab military force to confront regional security challenges.
The two-day meetings were held to resume discussions of the proposed joint force under a resolution issued by the Arab summit on March 29 in Sharm El Sheikh.
The participants probed mechanisms, as well as technical and financial measures, needed to form the joint force.
The chiefs of staff also discussed the initial plan of protocol to form the force and a memo related to the implementation of the resolution in this regard.
