
Libyan Foreign Minister Mohamed el Dairi underlined the need of rallying efforts among Arab countries in order to support the Libyan army in confronting terrorism.
Dairi, meanwhile, underlined the need of lifting the ban, imposed by a panel affiliated with the UN Security Council, to arm the Libyan military in order to enable it to confront the armed terrorist groups.
In statements following his meeting with Arab League chief Nabil el Araby, Dairi said that the AL special envoy to Libya Nasser el Qidwa will head for Geneva within the coming days to follow up the Libyan national dialogue.
Dairi said that he held talks with the AL chief and the AL special envoy to Libya on following up the implementation of the ministerial decision issued by the AL Council last Thursday regarding the latest developments in Libya.
He also welcomed the AL's chief decision to dispatch Qidwa to Geneva in order to follow up the Libyan national dialogue, which started on Wednesday.
The current national dialogue constitutes an opportunity to resolve the current political crisis in the country, he added
