Yemeni ambassador to the Arab League Mohammad Al-Haisami said permanent delegates to the pan-Arab organization decided Saturday to refer a draft resolution over Yemen to the Foreign Ministers, due to meet on Monday.
The draft resolution emphasizes importance of supporting dialogue among Yemeni parties as well as underscording Yemen's safety and territorial unity, Al-Haisami told reporters following a meeting of the permanent representatives.
The Arab countries called in the draft resolution, he added, the UN-sponsored national dialogue in Yemen and to prevent escalation by the media.
The permanent representatives, said Al-Haisami, also discussed the humanitarian situation in Yemen, calling for the preservation of the country's unity, independence and sovereignty.
